What a week...

Wow.. What a week it has been! My step-grandpa lost his battle to cancer last Monday. He had gotten really bad in the past few weeks and we were told just a few more days is all he had left. They live down in Baton Rouge and since traveling is rough with a baby... the last time I got to see him was in August. And due to another ear infection starting and 102 fever, we weren't able to travel down there for the funeral! He was suffering there towards the end so I find comfort in knowing he's not suffering anymore and he's way better now!

I made another cake.. looks sort of similar to the one I made for Garrett's party, but somewhat different. I had a HARD time with this one... the first layers I baked for the first tier.. I guess I just under baked it some... because it totally just crumbled to pieces when I tried taking it out of the pan.. it tasted amazing, but there was no way that I could have repaired and used it! HAHA! Here is a picture of Aaronlane's 3rd Birthday Cake!

My Mom and Pops bought me a KitchenAid Stand Mixer as an early birthday present so I can bake with ease and try to start making cakes for people for a little extra money!!! I've got a couple cakes coming up in the next couple months that I'm so nervous, yet so excited about!!! Wish me luck!! This is all I really have time for right now, but I'm sure Stacey is the only one reading anyways! HEY STACEY! HAHA!

lol you are too funny!! Your cake turned out adorable! The same thing happened with mine for Lauren's cake, the whole thing ripped in half when I took it out of the pan and I had to bake another one in the middle of the night lol!
I hope Garrett is feeling better and Im so sorry to hear about your step-grandpa.
